At 15 years old Arjan should have been enjoying school and playing cricket like any other boy in Bangladesh.

Instead, leprosy was stealing his mobility and his joy. Leprosy also took its emotional toll. His friends would bully him, and no longer go near him. The rejection cut so deep that he left school.

“I used to feel very sad,” he said. “But after a while, I got used to being alone”.
